The River Café is open on Sundays from 7:30-9:45am and on Wednesdays from 6:00-6:45pm under the direction under the direction of Jim and Patty Tumlinson. On Sundays, the specialty coffees and cold drinks will be available as well as bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, cereal, and pastry treats. On Wednesdays, there will be featured items each week in addition to the regular menu of salads, baked potatoes, chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, fries, nachos and the specialty coffees and cold drinks. All profits will go to the missions department, so come on out for a great breakfast, good fellowship, and support missions at the same time. Jim and Patty need volunteers to help in the Café. Pastor’s Class begins again on Sunday, August 10, at 9am. This class is designed for those who want to become members of the River Church or for those who want to know more about the church and to discover their giftings. It is a 4-week class that meets in Classroom 103. If you are interested, please call the church office at 940.627.2200.
Life Groups are a great way to achieve your dreams, grow in Christlikeness and change your world. There’s room for everyone in one of the groups and everyone is encouraged to participate. Click here for more information.
We have moved to Sunday nights! Come on out at 5:00pm and be a part of an exciting time! Hang out, eat, play games, eat again. At 6:00pm, worship and praise with the student-led, rock-style worship music and hear Pastor James teach. After service there’s more time to hang out, eat, and play games. The momentum is building. Don’t miss it!
We will also continue meeting on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm in the 180 building for small, discipleship groups. Pastor James is teaching on Next Generation Leader for 9th-12th grades. Topics include: Impacting Your World, Rising to the Occasion, and Secrets to Success in Life. The Middle School youth (6th-8th grades) are studying Foundational Truths. Topics include: Being Born Again, Resisting the Devil, How to Pray Effectively. Get in on this time of fellowship and growth.
